AS-58 replaces PTFE tape and pipe dope and gives instant sealing with no drips, mess or fuss. This high viscosity thread sealant seals against gas, water, LPG, hydrocarbons, oils and other chemicals. The anaerobic adhesive activates once oxygen is expelled, and it’s thixotropic (gel-like) property prevents it from dripping before or during curing.
AS-58 is shock and vibrations resistant, with sealing properties unaffected over the temperature range from -67°F to +302°F. With a single application strip around one thread, you can get the thread sealed easier, faster, & stronger.
Application: Anaerobic adhesive for the sealing of threaded fittings, suitable for use with natural gas and liquid petroleum gas up to 290 PSI. Also suitable for water, hydrocarbons, oils, and other chemicals.

For most applications, apply a single continuous bead of AS-58 around one thread, then connect and tighten the fitting. For loose or damaged threads, or threads larger than 1″ in diameter, additional sealant may be required to achieve a complete seal
Yes. Threads should be clean and free from oil, grease, dirt, and other residue before AS-58 is applied. Properly cleaning, degreasing, and drying the threads helps ensure the sealant can adhere and cure effectively.
AS-58 has a handling cure time of approximately 15–30 minutes and typically reaches a functional cure in 1–3 hours, with a full cure in 3–6 hours. Cure time can vary depending on factors such as the fitting material, size, and ambient temperature, so refer to the Technical Data Sheet for your application before pressurizing the system.
