OxyMax Kit

The OxyMax Kit is the complete portable commercial HVACR kit for soldering, brazing, welding, cutting and heating on-the-go. The larger lightweight caddy features a rear pocket for extra storage, a torch holder to fit the included Precision, Pro and Power torch handles as well as an adaptor ring to allow brazing with either the 1L or 1.9L Ambro Oxygen cylinders (sold separately). Ambro Controls HVACR systems are engineered for use with our range of disposable gas cylinders. Our largest set, the OxyMax, enables brazing on pipes from 1/8” to 3” in size, making it the all-in-one solution for highly mobile tradespeople or for working in hard-to-reach areas.

A mixture between oxygen and gas fuel is ideal in many applications due to its adjustable heat output, this kit is suitable for a variety of applications including: welding, brazing, silver soldering, aluminium coil repair and more. The OxyMax Kit includes the following items: (see list below).

What is the flame temperature?

The temperature of the flame is about 3200 degrees Celsius, but this depends on the ratio of oxygen to fuel when burning.

What is the working pressure for each gas?

Map-Pro has a working pressure of 0.5-0.9 bar. Oxygen has a working pressure of 4-6 bar.

How to clip in the torches on the OxyMax Kit?

Instructions for each torch as are follows:

PRECISION TORCH. To remove the precision torch lift the torch by the handle and pull straight up to release from the holder. To return the precision torch to the holder insert the bottom of the torch into the top opening of the holder, then move the torch straight down until it reaches the locked position.
PRO TORCH. To remove the pro torch confirm the torch is locked in the holder with the oxygen valve in the locked position. Move the torch straight up then twist it COUNTERCLOCKWISE to release it from the holder. To return the torch, while holding the torch at an angle, insert the torch handle into the holder, securing the left side first. ROTATE the handle to PRESS the right side of the handle into the holder, ensuring it is fully seated. Slide the torch down until the oxygen valve sits comfortably into the locked position.
POWER TORCH. To remove the torch ensure the torch is locked in the holder with the oxygen valve seated in the locked position. Move the torch straight up, then twist it 90° COUNTERCLOCKWISE, so the fuel valve faces to the right. Continue moving the torch upward to fully remove it from the holder. To return the torch to the holder, while holding the torch with the fuel valve facing to the right, insert the bottom of the torch into the top opening of the holder. Move the torch straight down while twisting it 90° CLOCKWISE. Push the torch further into the holder, until the oxygen valve sits comfortably in the locked position.

Can I still get the Oxyset?

While some stores may still have stock, the Oxyset has been discontinued and replaced by the two new kits: Oxy Precision Kit and OxyMax Kit.
