AS-58 replaces PTFE tape and pipe dope and gives instant sealing with no drips, mess or fuss. This high viscosity thread sealant seals against gas, water, LPG, hydrocarbons, oils and other chemicals. The anaerobic adhesive activates once oxygen is expelled, and it’s thixotropic (gel-like) property prevents it from dripping before or during curing.
AS-58 is shock and vibrations resistant, with sealing properties unaffected over the temperature range from -67°F to +302°F. With a single application strip around one thread, you can get the thread sealed easier, faster, & stronger.
Application: Anaerobic adhesive for the sealing of threaded fittings, suitable for use with natural gas and liquid petroleum gas up to 290 PSI. Also suitable for water, hydrocarbons, oils, and other chemicals.
